Believe - the Boat
|
Our sailing catamaran named Believe is hull number 911 and was built by Performance Cruising, Inc.in Annapolis, Maryland.
She is 34 feet long and 14 feet wide. This means she can fit in a regular sailboat slip - an important trade off for us. She has 3 cabins, a head, galley and navigation station. Plus all the comforts of home: a refrigerator, stove, oven and even television.
Boat name Believe, where did it come from? We spent more time on the name and font of our yacht than we did in deciding to purchase her. Believe is about having a goal(s), working towards them, maybe even sacrificing for them, believing in them and finally, realizing them. We visioned and believed in our boat 20 before we bought her in 2005. "Everything is possible for him who believes" Mark 9:23.

As you enter Believe, you see the salon - the living and family room of the boat. The table can be lowered and used as a double-bed for guests. |

To your right (starboard) side, the galley. All the comforts of home: oven, stove, hot and cold running water, AC receptacles and plenty of storage. |

On your left (port) side is the navigation area. We have a VHF radio, Single Side Band (for remote communication, email and WeatherFax) as well as paper and electronic charts. We also monitor power and battery levels here. |

This is the main berth which features a queen size bed. We replaced the existing mattress with a air mattress and pad. |

Well, people want to know. This is the head which features hot and cold running water for sink and shower as well as a manual style toilet. We also have an exterior fresh water shower and 2 Sun Showers |
